. . .HoHoHo . .Santa hasn't really gone back to the north pole yet, he's decided to hang around, in the form of a bath bomb . . .
. . Satsumo
As mentioned in a previous blog post, I picked up a few sale items in the Lush boxing day sales including Satsumo. I first got one of these as a gift from my brothers girlfriend a few Christmas's ago, and I absolutely loved it.
This is a fusion of the British tradition of an orange in the bottom of your Christmas stocking, and the Japanese tradition of splitting a yuzu orange and putting it in your bathwater at Winter Solstice. Together they make Satsumo Santa, a fat little fella full of mandarin oil, bergamot oil and orange flower absolute. He’s bursting to the brim with a beautiful orange fragrance which, when unleashed in the water, will fill your bathroom with the sweet smell of summer.
(Lush, 2011)
Dropping this bath bomb into the bath dissolved incredibly quickly, giving off a loud fizzing sound. The red colour of the santa I found stained my hands a little bit, but after a good few washes, the stain had gone. As this is a bath bomb, I got no bubbles, just a bath with red coloured water.
The one thing I love most about this bath bomb is the scent; very zingy with oranges, but not too overpowering. I did find it made my skin feel very smooth and made me feel very summery, due to the colour and the scent.
The RPP for this bath bomb was £2.46 but as I got it in the sale it only cost £1.47, which I thought wasn't a bad buy. Unfortunately this product is a seasonal item, but I am pretty sure it will make an appearance for Christmas 2012.
Woooow looking at that is making me have a Kenan and Kel throwback looooool

I didn't get chance to try the Satsumo Santa this time round :( I will definitely be purchasing it this Christmas though, it sounds lovely :)
