Sk:n Vitamin Rich Cleanser - oily skin

As an individual who is a regular sufferer of acne and blemishes, I am constantly on the look out for products that are aimed at combating the problem. Of course, I am not the type of person who purchases everything to try and cure the problem, but if I like the sound of something, and its ingredients look friendly to skin, I will give it a try. Sk:n has always been a company I've seen and heard quite a lot about, but I didn't know they also sold products. When I was offered the opportunity of sampling a product from Sk:n, I decided to give it a try.

Sk:n Vitamin-Rich Cleanser for oily skin is fortified with age fighting vitamins and antioxidants to gently remove make-up and impurities. It contains glycolic acid to remove dead skin cells, clear pores and improve the skin.

Ingredients

I have been using this product for the past 4+weeks, and I have to say I have noticed an improvement in my skin. My skin feels a lot calmer, and the spot attacks are no longer raging. My face doesn't look as 'dull' and appears a lot brighter. It's not an overnight quick fix product, but over several weeks use I have noticed an improvement which I am very pleased with.

The product itself is a clear gel that doesn't have any significant strong scent, but it smells a little bit like men's deodrant; a Lynx scent? But it's not overpowering or lingering. I do find however that washing this product off requires a lot of washing. You can't just do the quick splash method and be done, you actually have to physically wash this product off, ensuring every trace has gone as it's a gel cleanser.

The RRP for this product is £11.00, but it is currently 25% off on the Sk:n website, so £8.75 for 200ml. In comparison to other cleansers on the market, this isn't too badly priced with the 25% off saving.

Overall Thoughts

I am pretty pleased with this product especially as I have seen an improvement in my skin. The changes haven't been dramatic, as these things take a while to work on the skin, but from the 4+ weeks of sampling, I am quite impressed. My only slight grumble is with the packaging; it's in a white bottle which makes seeing how much actual product is left, difficult. The packaging also incorporates an easy open and close mechanism (screw off top), which makes dispensing the product fairly easy. But overall the packaging is neat, clear and clean and is easy to understand and read.

Would I buy this product: Most probably

*My review is 110% honest, genuine and true. Although PR samples were sent for consideration, and I did some research before use, neither have influenced my views in any way shape or form.

  2. I didn't know Sk:n sold products too! I'm hoping to get my tattoo removed through them and know they are a great company. I reallllly want to try this now as I have oily skin too - might have to wait until pay day though! xx

  3. I've seen Sk:n products mentioned quite often and would quite like to try their Maintenance Serum. I'm just worried that it'll cause too much irritation as a lot of products have recently. Perhaps at the discounted price I may make an exception. :)
