REVIEW: Klorane Eye Makeup Remover

**I hold my hands up* I had never used an eye make up remover before, I thought they were pointless and were just another product on the highstreet to generate more money. However scrubbing eyelids and losing a few eye lashes in the process of make up removal was beginning to get on my nerves, and I decided to give eye make up remover a try. However before I decided to try such product, I wanted to ensure that what I was using something gentle and kind to my eyes because the last thing I wanted was to end up with damage to my eyes. I had never heard about Klorane or the product I am reviewing today but the words 'soothing' on the packaging is what caught my attention and provoked me to try this product.

''Remove your eye makeup the gentle way with the Klorane Eye Makeup Remover, a mild solution that is especially suitable for sensitive skin.''
 (Klorane, 2012)

First impressions of this product I really like; the cool blue packaging is very catchy on the eye, with a flip top lid and small hole on the top, making it easy for the product to dispense. The writing on the packaging is also very easy to read and stands out well on the bottle. The product itself is in liquid form which is electric blue in colour, but smells of Cornflower which is very fresh and pleasant.

Klorane claim that the product:
  • Gently removes make-up from the very fragile eye contour
  • Soothes skin around eyes
  • Safe for contact lens wearers
  • Hypoallergenic, ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested
  • Paraben, silicone, and sulfate free
. . .And honestly? I have to agree. I found using an ample size of this product on a cotton pad, with gentle movements on and around the eye area made for the removal of the eye make up very easy. I was also very surprised but pleased to not suffer any stinging, soreness on account of the product, and true to word it is gentle and soothing to the most delicate of eyes.

''The softening and anti-inflammatory properties of French cornflower has been traditionally used for centuries in skincare. The cornflower used in this remover has been harvested during full blossom and dried out in special clay ovens. The resulting cornflower water is distilled from these flowers with all of the precious active ingredients and purity still intact, making for a potent and effective natural extract.''
(Klorane, 2012)

It is a really nice product, and at such an affordable price too. Haha I use to just use water (I know, baddd), and I would rub/scrub and loose eye lashes in the process. Got fed up in the end, especially after a night out as all I wanna do is go to sleep! :P lol
